I thought this was amusing, a couple Canada Payphone Corporation COCOTs with a large Telus ad looming above. Excuse the crappy picture quality, my camera was having issues. (26/02/04)
While walking down Broadway, I wasn't finding any pay phones that rang when called. I was almost back to my car, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw a Telus owned GTE AE 120. After dialing its number, I discovered it rang. That number was 604-737-9608. Its located at Columbia Academy. (26/02/04)
I recently took a visit to Stanley Park in Vancouver. If you ever get the chance I suggest visiting, its a beautiful place. I took a picture of the two payphones at Second Beach. They are right up next to concession stand. Too bad they don't accept incoming calls as with most Telus phones. Here it is for your viewing pleasure. (26/02/04)
It was snowing the Greater Vancouver area last week, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to take some pictures in the snow. The first one here is the fortress at a beach in Tsawwassen, and the second is located near the George Massey Tunnel. (10/01/04)
Today I was walking by Langara Golf Course when I noticed a payphone enclosure just sitting on the ground. (26/11/03)
Well Telus you thought your Millennium here couldn't accept calls, I proved you wrong in french and english, eat it. (19/11/03)
Someone or a group of people have been vandalizing a bunch Telus payphones around the city of Vancouver and Richmond. On the Millenniums, they remove the card reader and on the Fortresses, they push the keypad upwards and remove whatever they are taking out of the phone. They never seem to steal the coin box. I came across a Millennium which has been recently repaired. Telus has placed a sticker on all their replaced card readers that say "Anti-Theft". I'm skeptical this will deterr the tefts, but lets hope it does. I'm not too impressed with all this. What could they possible need 50+ card readers for? I hope they are caught, fined and spend time in jail. (11/11/03)
At Langara College people enjoy destorying pay phones. Someone really went to town on this one, oddly they didn't take the coin box, guess money wasnt the motive, or they were too stupid to realize where the money goes. There also used to be another phone next to it, it was either removed or stolen, looks stolen. (24/10/03)
This picture is for those who still believe a Millennium cannot ring. This is Telus Millennium somewhere in Vancouver, BC. (23/08/03)
A wonderful little phone here. This is a Fortress located at Kits Beach, wonderfully, it does accept incoming calls just like the one other payphone at Kits Beach. The number of the one in the picture is 604-734-9951. The other phone although in the picture, is damn near impossible to see. Its number is 604-734-9685. (22/08/03)
This is a Fortress located near Subway on Oak Street. This phone DOES accept incoming calls so you can call it if you please, 604-734-9687. (22/08/03)

Representin' the Payphone Directory! (28/0703)
Here are two unusual Telus fortresses. They have unarmored cords. I guess it doesn't matter too much because they are inside the Burnaby General Hospital. They will accept your incoming calls at 604-433-9991 and 604-433-9915 respectively. (28/07/03)
Here's a cluster of Telus Millennia at the UBC Bus Loop. Obviously no incoming calls, damn Telus. (21/07/03)
Count em, thats 1...2...3...14 payphones in a row! Most I've ever seen in an unbroken chain. Being that they are owned by Telus, none of them accept incoming calls. Sure would be some good ones to call, what with "Pit Night" every Wednesday and busy Fridays and Saturdays. Oh well. (21/07/03)
Here is a Fortress at a Mexican Restuarant called Las Margaritas. It DOES ring, so I suggest you take advantage of this and phone it; you could ask for Lady Margarita. I would assume this phone has a steady flow of people going by in the evening time, particularly Fridays and Saturdays. Anyhow, the number is 604-734-9698, phone it. (07/07/03)
To see more than two booths in a single location is a bit rare around here. The other day however I did come across a bunch of three. They are all Millenniums and none of the accept incoming calls. (25/06/03)
This phone is at a Shell Gas Station and is a Millennium. (25/06/03)

For payphones to stay competitive in today's world of advancing technology, they need to expand their abilities to serve the general public. The eMillennium is one step in the right direction offering internet access as well as traditional phone use. (06/06/03)
In Burnaby, these eight Millenniums can be found outside the Real Canadian Superstore. (06/06/03)
I can't say that I've seen a Telus booth with their white sign that is until I saw this one. Sadly, this phone doesn't take calls, oh it's a Protel. (06/06/03)
This a Telus office building. It has payphone out front, it is a Millennium and does not take incoming calls. Here is another picture of it. (06/06/03)
Today we have a pair of Telus booths in busy downtown Vancouver. These two booths are at the corner of Cambie and W. Broadway. This location is high traffic so luckly the phone on the right accepts incoming calls. It rings nice and loud at 604-872-9475. Call it up talk to someone. (30/05/03)

Another rare piece of Telus equipment is the white sign payphone enclosure. This one is in Vancouver on West Broadway at Mac's. It is back to back with a regular purple Telus enclosure. The actual phones are both Milleniums. (07/05/03)
This is a rather rare kind of booth, I've only ever seen one, this one. It contains a chair and a Protel 4000 model that has a chirpy ring (which can be found below). This phone in particular does ring once, then you are treated to modem sounds. Feel free to call it, 604-734-9091. (07/05/03)
This picture shows a Nortel Desktop Millenium payphone. (07/05/03)
Here's a shot of the marina behind a Telus Millenium. (07/05/03)
Here in BC, its very rare to hear a Nortel Millenium phone ring. Infact I have never found a Millenium that is capable of rining. With the help of El Jefe from www.payphone-directory.org and the exploitation of a certain flaw in the GTD-5 switch, I have captured the sound of a Millenium ringing. The Millenium that was made to ring was this one. I also captured the sound of a Protel 4000 ringing. (07/05/03)
A BC Tel "Reward" sticker. Here is the same sticker with a Telus logo. (05/05/03)

Here are two clusters of Telus phones. The first cluster is a lot of six at Lansdowne Center. The second cluster is outside of White Spot on No. 3 Rd in Richmond. Theses phones do not take incoming calls. While we're talking about phones that don't take calls here's another one, a Paytel Astratel in what you could easily mistake for a Telus enclosure. (24/04/03)
