These Whidbey phones continue to pop up every now and again, today I discovered 2 more, one in the most interesting location ever. The first (interesting) one is located at a Shell Gas Station. This gas station though is located in the ocean. It is there to fuel boats so the payphone is not located on land. Its number is 360-945-9956. The other payphone is located at Westwind Marine Inc., its number is 360-945-9958. (22/08/03)
Apparently I was wrong about the Abandoned Mall phone being the last one at Point Roberts. I recently found two more in Kiniskis Reef Tavern. As always, they accept incoming calls, and are at a bar so are generally have a steady flow of traffic going by. The numbers are 360-945-9970 and 360-945-9969. (02/07/03)
Today I visited what I beleive the only remianing Whidbey payphone that I had yet to visit. Here is a picture of it. I also recorded it ringing. It is located at a small shopping center that never actually had stores in it. Because this phone is at an abondoned mall, I doubt anyone will ever pick it up, but if you feel the need to call it its number is 360-945-9963. (26/05/03)
